Increase Limit on number of decimal points for fields and custom fields

Working with AMEX here.  They need to have at least six digits after the decimal point for the calculations to work out properly.  Ideally, we would like to have it where we can set a number of digits after the decimal point for each field.

The issue right now is that their financial calculations are erroneous because when calculating out rates and costs with large numbers the limited decimal places available in ATP right now make it inaccurate.

Amex has reported an issue in Targetprocess related to decimals, which may cause inaccurate financial figures compared to their source system. Currently, Targetprocess supports up to 2 decimals for numbers and currency fields, which is insufficient for Amex given the large figures involved (often in the millions). They require support for up to 6 decimals in most calculations. This limitation impacts (but is not limited to) budgeting fields (annual, monthly, quarterly, overall) for labor & non labor estimates & approved labor, work allocations, ARTs, scenario planning etc.Their requirements have two parts:

    • Backend: All calculations should default to 6-decimals.
    • UI: Users should have the option to configure or display the desired number of decimal places, i.e. 6, 4, 2 etc.
