separate custom field on the cloned entity that stores the ID of its parent entity

What I need is a separate custom field on the cloned entity that stores the ID of its parent entity.

For example:

  • Parent Submission is created with ID 12345.
  • A user then creates a clone of this submission.
  • The cloned Submission receives a new system-generated ID 54321.

In this scenario, when I open the cloned Submission (54321), I would like to see a custom field such as Parent Submission ID populated with the value 12345. This would allow users to easily identify the original entity from which the clone was generated.

Similarly, if multiple clones are created from the same parent:

  • Parent Submission: 12345
  • Clone 1: 54321
  • Clone 2: 54322
  • Clone 3: 54323

Then each cloned submission should contain:

Parent Submission ID = 12345

This functionality would provide clear traceability between parent and cloned entities and make it easier for users to track the source of each cloned submission.
