Consolidation of Notification Capabilities in Automation Rules

Currently there are 3 ways to create notifications in TP: 1) The notification settings for each entity via Process settings 2) The notification rules capability 3) @mentions in comments Number 3 is the only one available from Automation rules and is very rudimentary. Number 1 and 2 each have some unique capabilities but neither is comprehensive. This makes it difficult to have a consistent, logical approach to creating notifications. It is still difficult to send notifications to the appropriate people on a work item without creating duplicates. I would like to see the capabilities merged into one interface and even more importantly, I'd like to be see notification creation as an action available in Automations rules. Ideally, a notification action in automation rules would allow creating a notification using a combination of conditions such as: User is assigned to the work item User has a certain default role User is assigned to the work item in a certain role User's role is the responsible role for the current work item state User is on a particular team User is on a team assigned to the work item etc Being able to combine the above with boolean logic along with automation conditions would provide the needed control to notify the right people but not the wrong ones.
