Dynamic Calendar year filter at data source level

We would like to request support for applying a dynamic Calendar Year filter at the source level, instead of hardcoding a specific year within report filter criteria.

Currently, to meet reporting requirements, we have implemented a workaround by hardcoding the year 2026 using the DSL.

We engaged the vendor to explore the possibility of using a dynamic year-based filter. After investigation, they confirmed that this is currently a platform limitation, and there is no out-of-the-box capability to dynamically derive the Calendar Year within source-level filters.

As a result, the year value must be manually updated each year, creating additional maintenance effort and increasing the risk of reporting inconsistencies.

To address this gap, I am submitting this enhancement request for consideration in an upcoming IBM product release. Support for dynamic Calendar Year filtering would improve reporting flexibility, reduce manual administration, simplify report maintenance, and provide a more scalable long-term solution.

Given its broad applicability and business value across reporting use cases, we kindly request that this enhancement be prioritized for inclusion in future platform updates and releases.
