Layer2/3 Path

Layer2/3 Path  - The IP path tool is too slow to respond for the operations time. This is unavoidable due to the SNMP required to dynamically retrieve the path. An alternative would be a perl path tool script similar to the ip path tool script which uses the NCIM database data to retrieve the path data. The data will not be perfect ( the topology stores the connections, not the routing tables or forwarding tables ) but will give some indication of expected connectivity between two points.

    Thank you for the idea submission. There's a similar capability present in our Agile Service Manager product as well as the topology manager capbability of the Cloudpak for WatsonAIOps. Please review our proudct documentation for details on how to use our path tool:
