ITNM polls end devices using multiple SNMP credentials to monitor their subcomponents effectively.

We have Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs) with multiple parts, such as firewalls and routers, that are monitored for their availability using ITNM's SNMP polling feature. Some newer models of these CPEs use NATed IPs, meaning their parts can only be accessed through different SNMP ports.

Currently, each subcomponent is monitored using a separate IP address assigned to it.

Requirement:
We need the ability to monitor the subcomponents of CPEs using specific ports instead of separate IPs to ensure their availability.

Example Scenario:

  • Device A:
    • The device listens for SNMP polling on two ports: 1611 and 1621.
    • Polling on port 1611 checks the availability of the vRouter component inside the device.
    • Polling on port 1621 checks the availability of the firewall component inside the device.

In this setup, the device name and IP remain for all components, but their availability can only be monitored by accessing them through different ports.

This feature is important for accurately monitoring the availability of individual parts within CPEs.

Please enable support for SNMP polling over configurable ports to meet this requirement.

Expected functionality:

Each domain will have to be set up with multiple credentials and polling should be performed using all valid credentials configured in the domain. Currently it is not validating other credentials at domain configuration if device is reachable using any one credential.

Let me know if you need further clarification!
