Ability to Monitor HW Entities (Cards, Fan & Power Supply) and store them in database

Hello Dears,
Ref. to case TS021468828, kindly we need to implement a Poll Policy to Monitor Hardware Data (Cards, Fans and Power Supplies) for all Vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Huawei & Aruba).
The idea is to create a poll policy like the SNMP Link State but for Hardware to be able to store the operation status values in the poll database to be used for reporting for the customer, same idea like SNMP Link State, currently there is no way to achieve restoring actual results of polling hardware on Poll Database as Hardware is a lot more Complex than Interfaces. as explained in the case already

Let's Take an Example:
Cisco for Example:

OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.117.1.2.1.1.2
we need to have the ability store the value corresponding to every card as interfaces. Example values for cisco: INTEGER{notSupported(1),disabled(2),enabled(3),offline(4),up(11),down(12),connect(13),protocolUp(15),linkUp(16),linkDown(17),present(18),absent(19)}

Be able to filter which cards/fans/power supply is needed to be polled or not like Interfaces Table in (SNMP Link State). for example there are certain card names like 'SFP' i don't need to pull so i should write in the cards filter (EntityName not like '%SFP%') and so on if any other things not needed to be polled

Regarding Generating and raising an event: We should write the needed conditions manually, since not all those numbers means up or down, so i need to add lets say 2,3,7 means up for example. and any other sample means down. as a summary raise alerts will have conditions based on the operation state values.

same concept for other vendors.

We had a long 2 hours call yesterday with L2 and Suresh from the Development team, he is full aware of the case and all it's details.

Fix Pack:
Currently we are on ITNM FP 20 for Core and ITNM FP 14 on GUI, we didn't upgrade GUI because Netcool's GUI is very essential and critical to the customers and there was no need to upgrade since there is no major changes in the GUI implementation in ITNM.
We are not sure if the feature to be implemented can be added normally to any fix pack or our needed one (FP 14). we can discuss this.

Please be informed that this feature is very important and requested by the customer in order to work with the Product.

Thanks,
George
