Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Please use the following category to raise ideas for these offerings for all environments (traditional on-premises, containers, cloud):

The ITNM event gateway (ncp_g_event) does not recover lost connection on Objectserver port (4100/tcp) automatically. This results in a non working event enrichment. This happens in implementations where a firewall is between the gateway process and the Objectserver. The gateway normally keeps 3 connections established to Objectserver port (4100/tcp). If one or two connections get dropped by a firewall in between, we see warnings in the gateway log that update commands issued to the Objectserver have failed. We expect that the gateway code gets improved in a way that: 1) a connection watch event to be raised in the Objectserver 2) the gateway automatically resets and restores the Objectserver connections 3) the gateway creates an event that connection has been restored to Objectserver This faulty behavior has now been seen in two implementations, one with ITNM 3.9 and one with ITNM 4.2
In case the ITNM gateway looses tcp connections to Objectserver, there is no event enrichment anymore. Topoviz colors are not populated reliable anymore. Customer is loosing one of the main functionalities of ITNM
