GitOps integration: support for bitbucket+ArgoCD

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

We are starting a Turbonomic deployment in Intesa Sanpaolo; they asked for integration with their GitOps process to apply changes in RHOCP clusters; Turbonomic actions related to RHOCP target should be applied to their bitbucket repository instead of being directly applied to target clusters.

Some details about their GitOps process:

  • They use 1 central bitbucket repo for all applications

  • They are moving to one ArgoCD deployment in each RHOCP cluster, all connected to the central Bitbucket repo (currently is one ArgoCD instance with multiple clusters connected)

  • They use DeploymentConfig YAML for deployment of their custom applications (90% of the total), Helm for commercial products (10%)
