Terraform Support for Turbonomic

Why is it useful?

  • Enables customers to manage Turbonomic with policy-as-code capabilities
  • Enables customers recreate policies in the event of a disaster within Turbonomic (redeploy capabilities)
  • Enables customer to reduce risk following software development practices such as CI/CD and lifecycle management (nonprod -> prod)
  • Enables customers for version control, peer reviews and back out mechanisms utilizing code repositories such as Gitlab and GitHub
     

Who would benefit from this?

  • Engineers following software development lifecycle practices for Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code.

How should it work?

  • Development of a Turbonomic Provider in Hashicorp's Provider Registry for consumer to utilize.

    A Terraform provider for Apptio's application suite seems like a major benefit to businesses looking to integrate these tools into their current infrastructure, since Terraform is such a commonly used tool across the industry.

    This is a great idea. Really need this for Turbonomic. And for Cloudability as well.
