Adding a hostname in the logging

Hello,
a update on this idea. We have tested it and find out, that we need a servername in the Log entries.

Currently the log entries come with the pod names, such as zookeeper, market, topology, ...!

This means we cannot find our entries in a central log server.

Currently, for example, one of the template for the log entries in the /config/rsyslog.conf looks like this:

$template AuditFormat,"%timestamp:::date-rfc3339% %syslogtag%%msg%\n"

We need the VM Servername, for that we have to modify the template like this:

$template AuditFormat,"%timestamp:::date-rfc3339% TURBONOMIC-SERVERNAME %syslogtag%%msg%\n"

Maybe we put a entries in the "charts_v1alpha1_xl_cr.yaml" where we define the TURBONOMIC-SERVERNAME like this:

turbonomicServername: XAEIRMAPP001

In our company there is a requirement from our colleagues that looks like this:

We would be happy to have a meeting where I would explain everything to you in detail!

Regards Bülent
