Turbonomic support for Management Group scope Reservations (Azure)

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

As a Cloud Administrator, I would like Turbonomic Actions to consider my Reserved Instances scoped to my Management Groups in Azure so I can ensure that the actions being recommended by Turbonomic will not scale out of an RI.

Azure RI’s can be applied to 4 different scopes:

  • Billing Family
  • Subscription
  • Resource Group
  • Management Group

Turbonomic currently supports the first two with Resource Group scoped RI’s in Early Access.  Some reasons why organizations use Management Groups to scope their RI’s to are:

  • Centralize Cost for Business Units
  • Apply RI’s to only specific environments (i.e. Production vs Development)
