Native ActionScript Container

Having an optional integrated ActionScript container provided in the Turbonomic appliance, akin to the Grafana container, would ease the implementation of ActionScripts if the environment Turbonomic managing is locked down. Additionally, allowing customization of the deployment yaml to allow users to define installation of Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or any other language, as well as their respective modules would extend this even further.

    I've marked this as not under consideration because we have no immediate plans to do this.

    However, please continue to comment and happy to jump on a call with anyone looking to integrate Turbonomic into their operational pipelines today. Really want to understand the needs, pains and desires there to accelerate automation based on the decisions Turbonomic makes.

    Hi Doug and others interested in Action Scripts. I could use some feedback please...

    We are considering offering Webhooks as an alternative to Action Scripts and I would like to understand how you are using action scripts today and whether this approach would work for you or not. The motivation is to make integration with Turbonomic as open as possible rather than relying on a proprietary script engine.

    Thanks Doug. Great Idea!

    We have an initiative to focus on easier pipeline integration during 2023 and I see this as a potential candidate for that. I've captured it there and will give it some consideration.
