Dashboard Widget - For VM's - Allow Effective as an option. It defaults to On-Demand

For VM's, the Effective amount should be the default instead of On-Demand.  The Effective rate is the "real" cost impact, taking into consideration Savings Plans and Reserved Instances.  The On-Demand rate is the off-the-street cost and doesn't take into consideration Savings Plans or Reserved Instance.  

Having the Effective amount will be the bottom line impact to the owners and this is what decisions will be made off of.  By having On-Demand as the only option that shows in Dashboard Widgets is misleading.  And to get to the real bottom line number (Effective), it takes several clicks to see the real impact.

Owners really do not care about On-Demand, as this doesn't impact them, when trying to make a business decision.  The purpose of dashboards is for owner to be able to view and make decisions.  Not for an unrealistic number to be presented then to click into it and find out the real cost impact number for them is different.
