Provide a native capability in Turbonomic to automatically suppress or mute optimization actions across for AWS EBS volumes associated with EMR workloads

AWS EMR clusters dynamically create and terminate EC2 instances and their attached EBS volumes as standarised persistant storage and generates resize or performance optimization recommendations. In most cases these recommendations provide a limited operational or financial value because the resources are ephimeral and may get terminated before any action can be implemented .

Users/Admins have no native option to mute actions for cloudstorage resources in turbonomic, while similar control for virtual machines , storage resources such as ebs volumes can be excluded through dynamic groups and policy overrides . This requires additional configuration and ongoing governance especially for ephimeral workloads such as EMR where large numbers of short lived volumes generate low value recommendations

This enhancement would benefit FinOps and Cloud Engineering teams , users to automatically detect emr managed storage resources and suppress actions for ephimeral workloads
