Database Consistent Scaling -- AWS RDS & Aurora

Many organizations have a business requirement to scale DB clusters e.g. Read/Write replicas with consistent sizing, to enable functionality like Reader > Writer endpoint failover. Similar to the existing consistent scaling for volumes & virtual machines in the cloud, the goal would be to extend this functionality to databases. This would be useful across CSPs DBaaS, but my focus with the customer is AWS. In addition, if Turbo had some awareness of read/write replicas vs. entirely seperate DBs, that would streamline implementation. Manual group creation is workable with a policy field for consistent scaling.

Agreed - resiliency best practices direct that failover nodes have same capacity to avoid service degradation or downtime for cluster failovers.
