Enhancement Request: Generate Actions Based on Core Operating Hours

Currently, Turbonomic generates actions based on data collected across all time periods, including nights and weekends when system utilization is typically low, rather than focusing on periods of higher activity such as weekday business hours.

As a result, even if system utilization is relatively high during weekday business hours, the data may be averaged together with lower-utilization periods during nights and weekends. This may cause performance-related action recommendations to not accurately reflect actual system usage patterns.

If actions could be recommended based only on data from weekday business hours, we believe the recommendations would better align with actual system usage and result in more appropriate action recommendations.

As a product enhancement, it would be ideal if Turbonomic could automatically identify the core operating hours of a system based on collected utilization data over time. Alternatively, it would be helpful to have a feature that allows users to specify, through policy settings or similar configuration, the time periods to be considered when generating action recommendations, such as weekday business hours, nighttime, or weekends.

We believe this enhancement would improve the accuracy and relevance of performance-related action recommendations.

    I'm Tetsuya, TechSales in Japan.

    I understand this request as the ability to generate recommendations based only on data collected during specific time windows (for example, weekday business hours).

    This is not something that can be achieved through the current Automation Policy Schedules feature, which governs policy enforcement and action execution timing rather than the analysis dataset itself.

    I believe this would be a valuable enhancement, especially for customers who cannot address their requirements through Park actions or percentile adjustments and need recommendations that better reflect actual business-hour demand patterns.
