Account for hosts in maintenance mode in Plan function

I have a group of VMs spread out across multiple racks-- let's say 100 providers. During host consolidation efforts, we've placed several of the hosts across the racks in maintenance mode --let's say we put 20 in maintenance mode. When you scope to the group in Turbonomic, you see the host count is 80 as they're spread out across 80 providers.


Now if you run a plan to see how many more hosts you can put in maintenance mode, the numbers get funny. Assume we can turn down 15 more hosts. The plan would then say:
Before Plan Hosts: 100

After Plan Hosts: 85


These summaries are incredibly misleading as not only are we not using 100 hosts, but our after plan goal does not line up with what's currently presenting to the VMs. I have opened a support ticket for this "issue", which was closed as engineering agreed it was working as designed.


This idea is to account for maintenance mode hosts such that there is consistency between what you see the VMs using (e.g. 80) and what you can plan for in the planning functionality of the tool. In this example, I'd like to see:

Before Plan Hosts: 80

After Plan Hosts: 65
