We have tons of groups for all sorts of use cases. Currently there's only exact match search, which is not the best especially when there are so many to filter from and having all engineers keep track of all sorts of naming conventions is not simple.
I propose, at the very least, filtration by entity type (host, cluster, virtual machine, etc). The current advanced filter only allows for filtration by name, which the search already kind of does (without regex =/!=). This will allow for easier management and quicker searches.

Please read the description. I mention already that it only has capability to filter by Name. The minimum requested is entity type. Like i said above, we have a LOT of groups which causes tons of clutter. Not everything is named how you expect so if you can't remember which of the many possible names the group can have, you're out of luck.
Please try Settings-->Group-->Filter-->Add a name filter with the regular expression
