for a user to share a PLAN with another users, OR ...somehow make the PLAN accessible by other users.

for a user to share a PLAN with another users, OR ...somehow make the PLAN accessible by other users.

If I create a PLAN on turbonomic, I would like some other users to be able to see/run that PLAN.   Need a way to share a PLAN or to make certain PLAN "public" for all other users to see/use.

    Hi Simon,
I'll get some more feedback on this idea and come back to you. The principle of sharing the value of turbonomic is one we want to encourage and this is certainly one way of achieving that.
I welcome comments and voting from others on this idea. It will help gauge the importance of it against other ways of sharing value.
    Thank you,
    Simon

    HI,

I can confirm that Admin can see all Plan.

My idea is to have a way to make Plan accessable by non-Admin users.

e.g. if we can somehow make a Plan "Public" for all users on our Turbonomic instance to see/use.

It would be even better if can have the option to make the "Public" Plan "read-only" for non-Admin uses.

ie. they can run the Plan again and make changes to the new Plan ...but they will not be able to make change to the original PLAN.

    Thanks.

Hi Simon, thanks for looking into this idea.

You are correct, I would like to have a way to make PLAN visable/available for non-admin users.

I think one way to handle that is to allow a PLAN to be flagged as "Public" .... and allow those PLAN to be accessed by all users.

I am not sure if there is a concept of a PLAN owner on the platform....ie. maybe we only want the owner to be able to make changes to the PLAN. Otherwise, we might want to consider to make Public PLAN read-only for non-admin users....ie. they can view and re-run the PLAN, but is not allowed to make changes to the original PLAN. They can probably re-run (or a way to copy) the PLAN and than make changes to the new PLAN.

Hi Simon, thanks for raisng the idea.

Can you confirm the type of user and the role. I believe administrators can see all plans but I think your specific ask is that non-administrators have the ability to share a plan between other non-administrator users, is that correct?

How would you want to acheive this? A shareable link to a static HTML page, PDF export, email?

    Thanks!
