Rate of Resize without Limitation

Hello,

we faced a strange problem where a VM with 5% utilization in the 95th percentile had no action. After investigation with the Support we came to the conclusion that it is like this because Turbonomic would scale down the VM below the Application Components Heap size inside the VM. This leads to that Turbonomic would not generate an action at all.

We fixed this issue by changing the "Rate of Resize" to Medium instead of high so Turbonomic is recommending actions again. But this is a problem because we need to adresse the final value to our customers - thats why we have configured the "Rate of Resize" to high.

My Idea would to fix this in case of a rate of resize set to high. I would expect that Turbonomic would generate an action to the lowest possible configuration. If it is limited by the heap size then Turbonomic should give me an action for this. And also if the heap size is to high to see a hint or action to reduce heap in the Application.

Thanks
