This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Management, Technology Cost Management, Network Automation and AIOps products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

One thing to be aware of is that only active VMs count against license entitlement as evidenced by the Supply Chain and in the Settings > License page. For example, in one of my Turbo deployments, the supply chain shows that 764 VMs were discovered but there there are only 457 active VM in this deployment:
And the License Key page shows a matching 457 workloads in use.
I do understand that what I described is different from what was asked in this Idea submission, I just wanted to give some clarification on how Managed Virtual Machine licenses are accounted for as compared to the number of VMs that are discovered by Turbonomic. At this time, there is not a way to inform Turbonomic which VMs are the important ones that should be covered by licenses and which ones are not. Turbonomic needs to take into consider all the VMs as it makes its determination of Actions to recommend. One must also consider the ephemeral nature of VMs and Kubernetes nodes/pods. That is, they can be spun up rather quickly and similarly may only live for a very short time. This too would create issues with license coverage prioritization.
If you have any additional feedback about this idea or there is something else that should be considered, then reply to this message to continue the conversation. If you want your request to be considered once again, resubmit this idea or create a new idea no sooner than six months time for re-evaluation.
