Display user name instead of login ID in DWC

We have our DWC and MDM integrated with Active Directory.

Currently we are using a login ID for users to authenticate themselves, which is neither their email address or their proper name.

Once logged into the DWC, they see this login ID instead of their name. It would provide a nicer user experience if we could pull their name from the AD information and display that instead of the login ID.
