Official validation and support of IBM Workload Scheduler 10.2.x on VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS)

We are planning to migrate our IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) 10.2.x infrastructure to a containerized deployment.

The current official documentation emphasizes Red Hat OpenShift but does not clearly specify the support status of other Kubernetes distributions.

VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) is a strategic platform within our Broadcom agreement, and we would like IWS to be officially validated and supported on this platform.

We are requesting:

  • Official certification of IBM Workload Scheduler 10.2.x on VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS)
  • Clear documentation confirming support status
  • Any required or recommended helm chart configurations specific to VKS
  • Known limitations or prerequisites when deploying IWS containers on non‑OpenShift Kubernetes platforms

This support would significantly simplify our migration strategy and reduce operational risks.
