Have Turbonomic ignore DRS constraints if DRS is turned off on the cluster

I have some move policies that are failing to produce actions due to a restriction on "Segmentation Commodity" type constraint, built off of DRS rules imported from vCenter. However, even after I turned DRS off, it is still restricting the VMs eve...

Allow automatic WPA-enablement (based on some default policy settings) for newly discovered clusters/vms

As a sequel to https://automation-management.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/TURBO-I-321, it would provide great benefit to customers to have automatic (default) WPA settings for newly discovered clusters/VMs.

Manage Move Automation on a non-VM level

Turbo WPA is a competitor to VMware's DRS capabilities. Considering most customers ofTurbo are virtualized with VMware, we/they need a way to handle WPA on a cluster level, instead of having to create a group of VMs based on cluster resourcing as ...

For HA workloads (consistent resize), allow Match Cores

Today Turbonomic matches utilization based on MHz. There are use cases for when teams would want to have all their vms have matching core counts. Please add functionality to match by core count for Consistent Resize capability.

Remove requirement to set Automation level on every Volume policy

Currently, with VM policies, you can add or ignore every variable in the policy menu. By this i mean that i can have a policy blocking instance types, and i don't have to also select Manual or Automatic. I can leave that section blank and allow ot...

When the rate of resize is NOT 3 – show the desired end state. – let it be clear that it will take more steps to get to desired state.

If a customer has a Rate of Resize set to 2-Medium then Turbonomic will create an action to take it 25% of the way to the optimal value. And this jump (let’s say 32GB –> 34 GB memory) appears in the Action and Details. The optimal value is 8GB ...

Policies relating to a VM should always show under policies for an entity even if not active - ideally with the related schedule.

If I, a customer, attach a policy schedule to a policy (often by accident instead of an execution schedule) it is not easy to find. I am trying to understand the behaviour of a VM, so I got to that VM and look in the policies tab. I THINK that the...

Rate of Resize should have default of 3 High.

Make the Default Rate of Resize 3-High. Currently for on-prem the rate of resize has a default value of 2-Medium. This means that for both upsize and downsize recommendations – the action suggested is only 25% of the way to the optimal desired state.
