Support More Than Two Decimal Places in Apptio BI Metrics

Currently, Apptio BI limits numeric values to two decimal places, which can lead to loss of precision and inaccurate results in several business-critical scenarios. This limitation is especially problematic for unit economics, cost per session, cost per transaction, and other granular financial or operational metrics.

When working with large volumes, small unit costs, or allocation-based calculations, rounding values to only two decimal places can significantly distort aggregated results and misrepresent real costs. This impacts financial analysis, forecasting, decision-making, and executive reporting.

Supporting more than two decimal places (configurable per metric or dataset) would improve accuracy, reliability, and trust in Apptio BI outputs, especially for organizations that rely on detailed cost modeling and data-driven business decisions.
