Source-Aware Ticketing for Cloud Optimization (Rightsizing Ticketing)

Currently, we have two ways to create Rightsizing tickets: Manually or via Automated Policy. However, both methods have a major "information gap" when they reach ServiceNow:

  • Manual Tickets: ServiceNow doesn’t show who clicked the button to create the ticket. This makes it impossible for the ServiceNow workflow to validate the request with the original creator.
  • Policy Tickets: When a policy creates tickets for a specific IT Owner’s View, that owner’s information is missing from the ticket. ServiceNow has no way of knowing which team or "view" the ticket belongs to.

Summary :

Update our ServiceNow integration to include "Identity Metadata" in every ticket. Whether a ticket is created by a human or an automated policy, it must carry the identity of the creator or the assigned IT Owner View. This allows ServiceNow to know exactly who to contact for validation and approval without any manual "detective work."

Thanks for the suggestion! We are looking to improve the ServiceNow integration, and this will be something we will take into consideration.
