AWS added a new field ('Invoice Unit') in December 2024. This information is in the CUR. This field value does not come into Cloudy through current configuration. The client says that this is a critical field that they want to report on to their executives. The current workaround is to maintain business mapping manually which puts the onus on the customer leading to administrative burden when the data already exists in the CUR.

From the Customer (SoCalGas): The Invoice Unit will serve as the Sempra invoice structure according to AWS standards, supporting various organizations within our company. Moving forward, all our consumption invoices will be referenced through the Invoice Unit. It is crucial for us to generate reports and perform chargebacks using the Invoice Unit. If this is not captured at the cost usage level, our internal cloud billing processes will be significantly impacted.
