IBM JVM Profiler Support

Currently IBM JVM Profiler is not supported

and it makes application servers hosted on AIX websphere impossible to profile and this is needed feature to optimize java applications

    Dears


    IBM Websphere 9 does only come with IBM JDK 8 on AIX, its not possible to use J9 , Semuru or any other JVM, hence it will probably affect large enterpirses using AIX for their enterpirse application,

    JVM profiler is dependent on the host OS architecture, so we need to provide explicit support for AIX.
    We have plans to extend profiler support in Q2 2024

    Yes but websphere only ships with IBM JDK , we are on websphere 9 , JDK 8

    Apologies, earlier I misread that expectation is to profile a websphere server with J9 JVM as I saw IBM JVM in the title

    Currently Linux x86_64 is the only supported architecture, We do not have plans to extend the support

    Profiling is supported in J9 environment
