Optimize Load time for dependencies/Flow tab under application perspectives

We have observed that the dependency tab takes a large amount of time to load when we select the time window as 1 week. We do not expect this to happen as analysis of the flows is crucial to identify impact if a service goes down and historical information may come in handy.

    Dear Customer,
    We thank you so much for submitting an idea and, in doing this, we appreciate your support in improving Instana product.
    Unfortunately this requirement is not currently in our roadmap and will not be for the next 12/18 months.
    If this feature is still a priority for your Instana implementation at that time, please reopen it to bring up to our attention and we will reevaluate for its inclusion.

    For the use case described, my suggestion is to limit the historic timeframe to a specific interval, which is shorter, but comparable to the current timeframe.

    Otherwise calls from 1 week will be taken into account when creating Flow Map. Based on the amount calls this requires some expensive database calls.
