To add new parameter which will not record all of http parameter by Instana

We would like Instana to add new parameter which will not record all of http parameters by Instana. Because according to our checking with your team, it seem that there is no a parameter which can exclude all of http parameter by Instana.


The purpose of this ticket is,

Currently, all http request information("GET query string", "POST parameters" of Servlet API) sent by the agents to the Instana.

So, since the query string or parameter contains confidentiality information such as a password, we would like to prevent it from being sent to the Instana.


Although your team suggested to use SECRETS configuration, we could not use it properly since we don't know exactly that which http parameters contains confidentiality information.

So, it will be helpful for us if you could support to add a new parameter which will not record all of http parameters by Instana.

    Thank you for reaching out. You can use regex matcher to set all (.) as secrets so no http parameter will be captured. Will that work for you?
