In the "Oracle RAC" configuration, we would like to be able to monitor without using "SCAN IP" or "SCAN hostname."

Instana's monitoring of "Oracle RAC" only supports "SCAN IP" or "SCAN hostname." Therefore, we would like to be able to monitor in the "Oracle RAC" configuration without using "SCAN IP" or "SCAN hostname."


There are "Oracle RAC" configurations where SCAN IP is not used, and distributed processing is done by connecting to the VIPs assigned to each server through the client-side JDBC driver properties or tnsnames.ora settings.


In such configurations, if the Oracle instance on one side of the RAC, such as DB#1, is stopped, Instana SaaS results in an error and cannot display information.

    We don't have demand for this feature. It's not in our plans for the next 6 months.
