Easier agents update in air-gapped environment

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Dear colleagues,

our customer is using Instana in air-gapped environment. They had system administrators installed static instana agents and want simple procedure to upgrade them by Instana administrators who are responsible for Instana and agents.  Instana administrators are just few and they do not have access to target servers for manual update. Customer tried to get approval of using Jfrog Artifactory and Nexus, but both approaches require administration of these products from maintenance and security perspective and just for Instana.

They proposed a solution of utilising button "Update" from agent's page. It would work if Instana administrators press the "Download agent" button that triggers downloading a new agent to a client that can be uploaded then to some place that Instana backend uses to feed to Instana agent for automatic upgrade.

Thank you
