RELATED IDEAS

Services and applications should support opentelemetry logs

Application Perspectives (and Services) cannot currently display logs ingested from OTEL, even though the logs are mapped to a service. We raised support case TS020036806 which was closed with the advice to submit an Aha idea for this to go to our product roadmap to implement.
 

 


 

 

The good news is that the Logging team and our product team are aware and said that it seems like we can establish service correlation already which should make this very achievable. We have an Epic on our roadmap already to integrate OTEL into more of Instana so this will feed right into that.
