Prompt user to login (two use cases)

Customer would like to be prompted to either login after an expired session in UI or when he is trying to do something that requires that he is logged in.

Perhaps this could be configured with Session settings.

The problem is UI lets users do a lot of stuff without being logged in but will not return data for some searches and without an error message.

So it isn't always clear that the reason he can't find a server is his session and not that the server isn't there. In actually, there was no data because he was not logged in.

Under these conditions, it is not clear that the user should login again.

At this moment they have to check by cycling the browser if the session is expired. By their idea, some pop-up would be nice in case of an expired session.
