.
Hi Cesar, thanks for clarifying, we move this idea to the agent team.
@Henning, could you clarify if this not a duplicate?
Hi Hubert,
Thank you for replying. No, this is for Instana Agent for monitoring Oracle Linux Server as operative system.
Let me know if everything was clarified.
Additional detail: IBM Instana documentation says what distributions are supported:
"Supported Distributions
The one-liner supports the following Linux distributions:
Debian derivatives (
apt
package manager)Red Hat derivatives (
yum
package manager)SUSE derivatives (
zypp
package manager)"https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=requirements-installing-host-agent-linux#supported-distributions
As you can see yum package manager is used by Oracle Linux, does this mean it is supported?
Regards
Hi Cesar,
just to clarify, is this about support for the agent and running Instana's backend Self-hosted on Oracle Linux?
Although, we do not officially list Oracle Linux for Self-Hosted it runs fine as its basically just RHEL for the parts that are relevant for Instana.
