Configuration option for Tracing of SQL query parameters (PostgresQL)

In certain cases, it would be helpful for us to see the query parameters of a query. We would like to have a configuration option to switch tracing on for specific services or even only database entities. E.g. we are having a concurrent access on one table but can not derive easily from other log data which row in the database that is.

A global switch might be difficult because of data privacy regulations, but for this specific table it would be helpful because it only contains anonymous data.

Additionally to overcome the data privacy issues it would be great to configure the columns for which the data may be traced and stored in the Instana backend/displayed in the Instana UI.

Thanks for reaching out, we do not plan to record database parameters for our AutoTracer database client instrumentation.

If you plan to record additional information like this, I would recommend you to use our SDK.
