Customer requests that the networking portion of the Turbonomic supply chain show some data in the supply chain

Austin from TravelClick has a request that has some merit to it. The only way a person can see some real networking throughput numbers is to drill down to the VM level. We must be gathering the throughput numbers, yet when you click on networking everything says "No Data Available". If there is no data available, that would lead me to believe there is a problem as Turbo touts themselves as seeing the whole stack and making recommendations from all of that data. If we have it, why are we not showing it?

He is asking why can't it simply show things like all of the vlans and the average throughput of each vlan and the max, as well as make recommendations like this vlan is overpopulated, consider removing some vm's from it or add bandwidth. There is no reason to show the networking entities if we aren't going to provide any data for them.

Thanks Russ. We'll give this some consideration in a future refresh of the vCenter integration. In the meantime, we're interested in what other customers think about this requirement for Turbo here.. to manage vlan capacity in a world where software defines networks.
