Hi David, would like to discuss further about the banks move to GitHub, as Turbo does support ArgoCD with GitHub under certain types of conditions. BitBucket support is not under consideration at this time that our current framework for GitOps integration feature is not conducive to all of the many variables we need to address to support the VCS path, application packaging (such as helm, operator) and other variables. There is another idea here: Namespace resizing action execution to integrate with a source of truth.
Namespace quota resize up -> action is a feature today
Namespace quota resize execution -> roadmap
Namespace quota resize execution via the VCS behind a CD pipeline -> not concerned yet
Anyone can open another Idea if the community wants this kind of Namespace support.
The definition of support here is both the CD Pipeline and the backend VCS. Given the Turbo integration with a CD Pipeline to resize actions is to integrate with the VCS behind ArgoCD, the ask for this idea is for Turbo to extend support to ArgoCD with BitBucket.
Also OpenShift has another CD Pipeline called OpenShift Pipeline that is based on Tekton, which could also have GitHub or Bitbucket. If people are interested in this support or any other CD Pipeline, VCS combination, please submit a separate idea for each solution. Thank you!
hi @David - This Idea is good but I think is not specifically what you are asking for.
Our private preview GitOps integration is featuring ArgoCD, however the integration is actually with the VCS - the source of truth. Our private preview with ArgoCD features the integration support with GitHub.
I think you are asking that we extend our ArgoCD support to add in BitBucket - another VCS or source code repo that is supported by ArgoCD.
With your permission I will modify this Idea to point out we do have in Private Preview ArgoCD + GitHub support available to test now (any version from 8.6.1 - 8.6.4). The Idea is the ask to support ArgoCD + BitBucket.
