IBM has evaluated this request and determined that it cannot be implemented at this time or does not align with our current strategy or roadmap. This idea sounds more like a support issue that should be raised with MySQL. Turbonomic does support using MySQL 8 as an external database, however the administration and function of the external database is beyond the scope of what the Turbonomic is designed to do or supports.
