Validate Symphony file prior distribution

We have recently experienced several issues during the IWS new plan load. Most likely related to Job Streams into ADD status.

In order to prevent such impacts for many clients we do support (+40 Global Clients) we'd like to suggest a new process which validates the Symphony integrity before distribution.

Our idea is basically after the creation of the Sinfonia and before Symphony installation and distribution a process is called to ensure the file is safe and ready for use. It may scan Sinfonia for job streams into ADD status and remove it by itself and also other scenarios may be covered like Job Stream with 0 jobs within, scheduling objects missing its workstations, scheduling objects stuck in the plan jobs in INTRO, WAIT and etc.

Idea priority Urgent

    Hello Jose Moreno,

the check that you would like the product to do on the Symphony file is not really feasible, since the examples mentioned, job streams in ADD status, or 0 jobs, etc, could be normal because the process is asynchronous and some events could be processed after the distribution. APAR IJ35757 fixe your specific case and if other issues occur we should just fix them.

So the requirement is not accepted.
