Hello Umashankar,
If this is a HTTP transaction and if the orgID, eventID information are available in the headers, Instana can be configured to capture such information.
This information can then be used to filter based on the merchants
Documentation for capturing custom headers: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=agents-configuring-host#capture-custom-http-headers
If this is not a HTTP transaction, we have SDK based custom configuration which you can utilise. This can be done programmatically to annotate certain fields inside your code, which we can capture.
Documentation for the same: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=references-java-trace-sdk#conversion-and-naming
Thanks,
Mary
Product Manager for Tracers@IBM Instana
Use case like , if need to search any merchant level transaction which can easy to find into kibana but if wnat to search the transaction TPS ( post events transaction per second ) for induvial merchant only, so kibana doesn't have the filter to calculate TPS but in the instana we can check all post/events but there is no way search for individual merchant specific .
In the kibana we can fetch merchant detail like Org id , merchant id , event id but can't create filter in instana using this detail.
so In future if you can add this type of filter so it'll be very useful to get the exact event transaction information (per client / merchant wise ) .
Thanks
Can you please share the exact details of the use case/scenario you need to address with this request?
