Hello,

It is very important to have a unified security insights & compliance dashboard and vulnerability management capabilities consolidated within the Instana APM / Observability solution.

Besides application performance monitoring and proactive management of code / runtime / infra weaknesses, it is becoming a must to have continuous monitoring of application security weaknesses during the whole SDLC and be more secure at the code level.

Modern enterprise software architectures are becoming more and more complex and bring potential risks especially with the use and integration of open source packages and libs. Thus, the solution would help identifying vulnerable code automatically within third-party libraries, recommending vulnerable libraries version upgrades based on known and up to date CVEs and provide continuous monitoring for immediate results and faster fixes.

Having this new service within Instana Observability / APM would add great value to the product, very appreciated and beneficial for all parties. This will make it possible for the teams using Instana to embrace DevSecOps as per the perfect analogy to DevPerfOps.
