Hi Dean,
I'd be happy to connect to better understand what capability you would be looking for.
We believe that Group Mapping serves the best solution to sync users to Instana groups based on AD group memberships. As we cannot assume Instana permissions based on and AD attributes, we have to have a configured Instana group to map users to.
Hi Team,
Instead of creating new group in Instana, can you use same groups from AD like users in Instana to provide the permission.
If we create manual group in Instana there will be no tracking if any new user got added or removed from AD group and it will not be in automatic sync, we have to manually check that all users are there in group.
Please check is it possible or not and update.
Group mapping sounds like the right way to solve this currently, but I understand there is need to create new groups based on AD.
However, I'd like to understand how such a new group would be configured regarding access scopes. We'd be happy to discuss with the customer, once they reviewed Group Mapping possibilities.
