Concurrent Sessions Enabled

Background:
Concurrent session enabled refers to a feature or setting within an application or system that allows a user to be logged in and active from multiple devices or locations simultaneously. In other words, a user can have multiple concurrent sessions or instances of being logged into the same account or system at the same time.

Issue:
During the assessment, we observed that the application is allowing multiple/concurrent sessions from different devices/browsers.."

Risk:
In the event of leaked credentials of legitimate users, potential attackers may use them to start a new session without notifying the original user. This also may lead to non-repudiation.

Recommendation:
"We recommend configuring session management to disallow multiple concurrent sessions from a single user ID.
