Make Instana Agent API available on IPV4

We have a use case where we remote monitoring a database and need to access the instana agent API to generate events/changes/incidents but the API port is only available to the localhost so we cannot access it remotely. Making the APi port available allows the development of new integrations to complement Instana

    Hello João,

there is a configuration within the Agent to bind all integration ports also to public network interfaces on the host.

The file /<agent-install>/etc/instana/com.instana.agent.main.config.Agent.cfg needs to be extended by the following line in order to bind to all network interfaces: http.listen=*

This will expose all listening ports to remote access.

    Best regards
