Enhance End user monitoring to make it fully functional with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management platform

The IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management platform (ELM) is widely used within the automotive industry. It is based on IBM Websphere Application Server with IBM HTTP Server for the web based application. To be able to trace performance issues with the platform it is necessary to do an efficient End user Monitoring.

It is possible to enable automating code injection on the IBM HTTP Server for instrumenting and the necessary code is loaded at least for the first calling of the website of a ELM platform component, but the further navigating seems not to be traced correctly. If API endpoints of the ELM platform are called directly, e.g. in scripts, the tracing is completely visible.

The idea is created to ensure that the End user monitoring with automatic instrumentation is working for IBM HTTP Server that is bundled with IBM Software like the ELM platform, out of the box and delivers complete tracing from frontend to backend.
