Monitor number of pods in a specific namespace in Kubernetes

It is useful to monitor the number of pods especially if the pods reaches a threshold.

    Hello Yves,

    Since our last conversation we agreed that there are already ways to see the amount of pods by namespace at Instana.

    I'll go ahead and close this Aha Idea. If you find out a use case were the current functionality doesn't cover your needs we can come back to the topic.

    To be more specific about the usecase:
    We're deploying self hosted github runners in a kybernetes cluster using an OS project that automatically scales the number of runner pods: https://github.com/actions-runner-controller/actions-runner-controller
    We want to have a visibility how many runner pods are created and the state of the pods.

    I'll be available 9-17 CET (except 23-Sept to 3-Oct).
