Thanks for submitting this idea, Marcus. I understand the value this would add if SevOne could support trap event correlation for devices that send their traps through a trap forwarder.
In order for us to accurately estimate the level of effort to potentially implement this feature, we need to know more about how traps are being forwarded at Verizon to understand what's necessary to build a marketable solution.
Is this a custom implementation. If not, is there a specific RFC being followed. If you could provide a labeled, sanitized example of a forwarded trap with the varbinds identifying the source device and the trap forwarder, this would help us validate our understanding of the technical problem.
