Visualize network flow duration

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

The current raw flow data view allows users to see detailed flow data for a specified time span, but it does not provide information on when the flow started or its duration.

When an issue occurs during a specific time span and the cause needs to be analyzed, it is useful to know the start time and duration of the communication in addition to the flow information for that time span in order to quickly identify the root cause.

    I think this is a request for raw netflow viewer that displays start/end times accurately for each flow record along with fields like TCP flags to do application session analysis and troubleshooting and security use cases.

    This capability can be lightweight approach compared to packet capture solution.

    @Yukihiro Koda

    As discussed, SevOne NPM is not a security tool and does not allow flow record analysis or automatic conversational analysis.

    In SevOne, you can run raw flow report with a filter for the conversation and look at a linechart to see when the conversation begins and ends in time.You can use a filter with Application IP, Client IP and Application Port and Client Port to specify the conversation. NPM does not automatically analyze and display individual flow records or conversations between endpoints. You can use a CLI to export raw flow records on-demand ( but not continuously) - sevone-acct flowdb export .... to analyze in a spreadsheet the raw flow data record

    can you use a line chart to estimate the start time and duration of the flow ( along with a filter that specifies the conversation of interest) ?
